{ Easter Eggs }

The kids still love dying eggs every Easter.  I hope this is a tradition they'll always enjoy.  I  boil LOTS of eggs!

Here they are getting started.
 Sarah has an interesting way of doing it...
and ended up with hands that looked like this!!
 Emma Taylor is waiting patiently.
 And Anna Grace is obviously tickled about something!

 Here are some of their favorite eggs!
We had some monogram stickers this year, so personalized some of them.

Harrison wanted his picture with the famous brown egg, just like Papa D used to make.  You can't really tell how brown it is in this picture, but it's not pretty!  Papa D would be so proud.
 Here's my egg!
My favorite little egg dyers!

Aren't they pretty?  Harrison tried to make the brown one look better by adding green glitter. It didn't help.  Ha!  We had a great time working on these eggs together.  So much fun!

{ Worry Doll }

Emma Taylor made a worry doll out of an old sock in her art class.  They work on projects year round, but normally they don't get to bring them home.  It's my understanding that they'll bring home their portfolios at the end of the school year.

Here's Emma Taylor's worry doll.

She brought the sock from home and then shopped the art room's stash of fabric and other embellishments to create the doll's face and her cute outfit.  The kids even did all the sewing themselves!  Sounds like a fun project to me.  She loved it!

{ Ice }

The kids missed school again on Thursday and Friday.  We woke up to this on Thursday morning...

A sheet of ice surrounded us.  Yuck!  Since we missed both Thursday and Friday, so the kids got an early start to Spring Break.  Spring Break seems like a bit of a joke this year since the weather's been so crazy.  I sure hope it warms up enough for the kids to play outside this week, otherwise it could be a long week for me!  :)

{ Boys Weekend }

While the girls and I spent the weekend in Birmingham, the boys had a guys weekend at home.  On Saturday Lee and Ben took Harrison and Cameron to do some shooting practice.  It was Harrison's first time and Lee said once he got comfortable, he really enjoyed it and ended up shooting about 100 rounds.

Later that evening, Ben took both boys to the monster truck show in Tupelo.  The boys loved it!
Turned out to be a fun weekend for everyone!

{ Weekend in Birmingham }

We'd planned to go to Birmingham for weeks so we could see Hanna in her ice skating competition.  Poor thing got sick (and her brothers, too) and wasn't able to compete.  We missed Amy and the kids terribly, but we headed on to Birmingham anyway and met the rest of the family for some fun.

We shopped, ate at some delicious places and stayed in what the girls called their "castle!"

We had dinner on Saturday night at Brio.  It was delicious, as always!

Luke loved Anna Grace and she was pretty crazy about him too.

After dinner we headed out for a Target run then back to the hotel.  Sarah and Emma Taylor swam for awhile.

 And hit the hot tub, too.

The girls had worked up an appetite, so we ordered some room service.  Cheesecake and a brownie sundae.  I had a taste.  Good stuff!

 The next morning, the little girls decided to head back to the pool.  Luke was swimming too!

Loving on Luke!

The Ross Bridge Resort is pretty swanky and we enjoyed every minute.  Porsche was having some sort of meeting there, so there was a pretty car parked out front.  Anna Grace decided she wouldn't mind having this as her first car next year.  :)

I'm sure the little girls wouldn't mind being dropped off at school in it either.

 A few more pictures of my princesses in front of their castle.

 We finished up with lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, which never disappoints.

It's safe to say this girl was tired!  We were on the go all weekend.

We made one last stop at another Target then headed home to see the boys.  We missed them, but we sure enjoyed a fun girls weekend in Birmingham!
